When will a place become available ?
We take approximately 25 children and most of our children stay with us until they go to school. The highest availability is in September, however due to our popularity we advise contacting us sooner rather than later.
How old does my child need to be before I apply ?
It's never too early to put your child's name down on our waiting list. We feel that children enjoy our environment mostly from 2 years 3 months onwards.
What clothing should my child wear ?
Please bring you child in older clothes as they may get messy. Although we provide aprons for activities there are times when paint gets everywhere. All clothing must be clearly labelled. The children have outdoor play sessions in all seasons and need suitable clothes for this, also please bring spare clothes for your child. If your child is still in nappies please provide nappies, wet wipes and nappy bags.
Do you provide a lunch time meals or snacks ?
We provide a healthy snack twice a day which may include a bread base snack (e.g. pitta bread, bread sticks, toast e.t.c) fresh fruit and a choice of milk or water.
Does my child have to be potty trained ?
No, we are happy to take children in nappies. We feel that age 2 years 4-6 months is an good time to start training your child if not earlier. We are happy to help and support you with this area of development with you rchild.
Do you accommodate children with dietary needs ?
Yes we do and with your support and guidance we will cater for your child's needs. We have in the past made special play-dough and a separate toaster for a child with a wheat intolerance.
In an emergency can I request extra sessions ?
Yes, we will try and accommodate your requirements within the staffing and building requirements.
Should I notify you if my child is unable to attend ?
If your child is unable to attend pre-school please telephone to let us know. In case of illness / infectious disease, the Local Authority issues special guidance on the required length of absence.
